John’s Camp

John’s Camp has a beautiful setting in a grove of ancient mahogany trees beside the Zambezi River in Mana Pools National Park. The position of the camp close to the river bank affords fantastic views across the river into Zambia, as well as for several miles up and down stream.

John’s Camp has 10 large traditional Meru-style safari tents spaced well apart. The tents are of a high standard and feature comfortable king size beds and ensuite bathrooms, with open air bucket showers, flush loos, and a wash basin inside. At the front there is a shaded verandah, ideal for watching wildlife by the river or for reading. The camp has a mess tent and a fireplace outside. Meals are eaten outside whenever possible, to take advantage of the wonderful scenery and wildlife.

In addition to game drives in the Mana Pools area, a range of other activities are available at John’s Camp, all led by professional licensed guides. Walking safaris are possible in the park.
