Mawe Ninga Camp

Perched on top of a huge kopje, an impressive granite rock with breathtaking views of Lake Manyara and Lake Burunge, Mawe Ninga Camp is located in the heart of Tarangire National Park.

The restaurant and bar are located in a charming banda with wooden floors and a makuti roof overlooking the flat rocks forming a terrace. This is where guests most appreciate their sundowners at sunset. This is also where they can enjoy the campfire after dinner and gaze at the stars in the sky. A small private terrace is also available for those who wish to eat separately.

The 16 permanent tents were built on the edge of the kopje to guarantee an unobstructed view. They are mounted on wooden platforms and are well equipped with a bedroom and a bathroom (with shower, sink and private toilet). Hot water and electricity, available 24 hours a day, are 100% solar.

Mawe Ninga Camp is a popular eco-camp because of its location in the centre of the reserve and its character as a real bush camp offering simple but cool and comfortable accommodation.
