Day of exploration of the Upsala Glacier

This day of acclimatization and exploration of the Upsala Glacier follows a typical schedule.

After leaving your hotel, transfer to the pier of Puerto Banderas to embark, around 8am, on a comfortable and modern boat to sail up the northernmost part of the huge Lake Argentino and navigate the landscapes of fjords, among the icebergs.

Upon arrival at the jetty of the Estancia Cristina, around 11:30am, disembark and visit the Museum of Traditions, then, departure in 4×4 vehicles for a roughly 10km long track through the mountains to reach an extraordinary landscape of rocks and ice. This is where a short (and easy) hike of half an hour commences in order to reach the Upsala Glacier and to enjoy a wonderful view of the eastern front of the glacier, Lake Guillermo, the glacier field of southern Patagonia and the southern Andes.

Return to the boat around 5:30pm and enjoy the soft lights of the end of the day to complete the shooting of the pictures for the day, returning to Puerto Banderas at the scheduled time of 7pm.
