Vincent Gesser

Vincent Gesser is a French professional photographer and videographer who is passionate about wildlife, animal behaviour, and the “great outdoors”.

This leads him to spend a significant portion of his time in environments as varied as the iced expanses of the Canadian and European Arctic, the hot savannahs of Eastern and Austral Africa, and the mountains and high deserts of South America, to observe animals and capture photographs and videos that allow us to better understand their lives and their habitats.

After a career in banking, Vincent was able to realise his passion for animals in their natural environment on the one hand, and his 30 year interest in photography on the other. His photographs reflect his commitment to nature and to the preservation and conservation of endangered species.

Vincent is a fellow of the Royal Geographic Society and an associate member of the Royal Photographic Society in the UK. His images are regularly exhibited at festivals such as the International Festival of Wildlife and Nature Photography at Montier en Der (France), the Expos AVES and the International Festival of Nature Photography of Namur (Belgium), the RPS biennial touring exhibition (UK), etc.

Vincent’s photographs have been published and won awards at international competitions including the Windland Smith Rice International Awards, Memorial Maria Luisa, Oasis International Competition of Nature Photography, National Photography Awards, etc.

In addition Vincent manages the specialist tour company Autograph Safaris for which he provides and leads excursions to a wide range of destinations such as Canada, Chile, Bolivia, Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, Rwanda, etc.

He also gives lectures on topics related to wildlife photography and he supports and contributes to the work of foundations such as Born Free, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the Trust Mwitu naWatu Trust and the East African Wildlife Society.
