Western zone of the Maasai Mara or « Triangle of Trans-Mara »
The zone of the Triangle or « Trans-Mara », which covers 510 sqkm or almost one third of the total area of the Reserve, is bordered on the South by Tanzania, on the West by the Siria Escarpment, and on the North by the Mara River.
This area, which sees less visitors, is rich in wildlife, with breathtaking landscapes and plains opening onto the Serengeti.
