Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo
Departure in the morning from Europe and arrival at the end of the evening in Antananarivo – Ivato International Airport, meet and greet and transfer to your hotel.
Night at Hotel Le Palissandre. Bed & Breakfast and dinner.
Day 2: From Antananarivo to Miandrivazo
Departure in the morning from the hotel in Antananarivo for a long day of driving across the region on the west of the capital (390 km, 8 hours). Stops on the way to enjoy the landscapes and discover the population of this region.
Lunch en route and arrival late afternoon in Miandrivazo to take advantage of the pool and enjoy the sunset.
Night at the Hotel Princesse Tsiribihina. Full board and activities included.
Day 3: From Miandrivazo to Morondova
Departure in the morning from the hotel and continuation of the drive to Morondova (260 km, 5 hours). In the afternoon, time permitting, settling into your room and relaxing before heading to the Avenue des Baobabs (20 km) for a first sequence of photography at sunset.
Overnight at Hotel Palissandre Côte Ouest. Full board and activities included.
Day 4: From Morondava to Bekopaka
Early morning return to the Avenue of the Baobabs for their observation and the photography of the sunrise on this landscape.
After picnic breakfast, departure for the village of Bekopaka that is the southern gate of the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park (200 km of dirt road, 8h in 4WD vehicules).
Stop for lunch halfway, in the village of Belo Tsiribihina.
Arrival at the end of the afternoon at your hotel and installation in your room before dinner.
Night at the Hotel Le Soleil des Tsingy. Full board and activities included.
Day 5 and day 6: Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park
These days are devoted to the discovery of the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park and to observing the characteristic landscapes and some of the endemic wildlife.
Treks in the Grand Tsingy for the participants not subject to fear of heights, or in the Petit Tsingy for a more casual walk.
Nights at the Hotel Le Soleil des Tsingy. Full board and activities included.
Day 7: From Bekopaka to Marofandilla
Last morning devoted to the discovery of the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park and to observing the characteristic landscapes and some of the endemic wildlife.
Picnic lunch and departure for Marofandilla (160 km of dirt road, 5.5 hours).
Arrival at your hotel in time to settle in your room and refresh for dinner. For the participants who wish to take part, an optional walk in the Kirindy Forest Reserve is organised.
Night at Le Relais du Kirindy. Full board and activities included.
Day 8 and day 9: Kirindy Forest Reserve
These days are devoted to the discovery of the Kirindy Forest Reserve, including its landscapes with baobabs, its lemurs and the chance of observing the surprising fossa.
Nights at Le Relais du Kirindy. Full board and activities included.
Day 10: From Marofandilia to Miandrivazo
After breakfast and a short walk in the Kirindy Forest Reserve, departure by the the road towards Morondava, passing one last time through the Avenue des Baobabs.
Then continuation of the road to Miandrivazo (280 km, 7 hours) where you will arrive at your hotel for a night of stopover.
Overnight at Hotel Princess Tsiribihina. Full board and activities included.
Day 11: From Miandrivazo to Antsirabe
Continuation of the drive (220km, 5 hours) to Antsirabe with multiple stops en route to admire the spectacular landscapes, take panoramic pictures as well as pictures of the local population.
Arrival during the afternoon at the lodge and settling into the rooms before a walk to see part of the 2,000 traditional and colourful tuk-tuks of the third largest city of Madagascar.
Antsirabe, whose name means “where there is salt” in additional to having also been called the “Malagasy Vichy”.
Night at Les Chambres du Voyageur (or Residence d’Antsirabe). Full board and activities included.
Day 12: From Antananarivo to Anjozorobe
Breakfast and departure by road, around 9:30 am, for Anjozorobe with some stops en route to admire and photograph the landscape.
Arrival at your camp in time for lunch before your first walk in the tropical humid forest of noth-east of Madagascar in the afternoon. For the participants who wish to take part, an optional night walk in the Anjozorobe Reserve is organised.
Night at Saha Forest Camp. Full board and activities included.
Day 13: Anjozorobe
This day is dedicated to the discovery of the Anjozorobe Reserve and its fauna, far from the beaten track and the traditional tourism of Madagascar. This is an opportunity to discover new varieties of diurnal and nocturnal lemurs as well as fascinating amphibians, lizards and chameleons.
Lunch at camp and night photo walk (optional).
Night at Saha Forest Camp. Full board and activities included.
Day 14: From Anjozorobe to Andasibe
Breakfast and morning of walk in Anjozorobe Reserve to observe further endemic wildlife and flora.
Departure by road for Antsirabe and lunch en-route to arrive at your lodge in time for an afternoon walk in the VOIMMA or Mitsinjo Reserve before your dinner.
Night at the Hotel Feon ‘ny Ala. Full board and activities included.
Day 15 and day 16 : Andasibe and the Reserves of Analamazaotra and Mantadia
These days are devoted to the discovery of the National Park of Andasibe-Mantadia and more particularly of the Special Reserve of Analamazaotra on the first day, and the Mantadia Reserve on the second day. Picnic lunch and night photo walk (optional).
Night at the Hotel Feon ‘ny Ala. Full board and activities included.
Day 17 : From Andasibe to Antananarivo
After breakfast, departure for the capital Antananarivo by a road of 180 km (approx. 3h30).
Lunch en route and, depending on the time of arrival in the afternoon, visit to the craft market of La Digue, which presents all the wealth of Malagasy handicraft in small wooden barracks at the edge of the rice fields.
Access to a dayroom at the San Cristobal Hotel (or Relais des Plateaux) for refreshment and change of clothes, then dinner and transfer to Ivato International Airport for your return flight to Europe or to your next destination.
